La Duquesa Golf and Country Club

La Duquesa Golf and Country Club

La Duquesa Golf is the golf course closest to Ambera Duquesa, and is one of the many superb golf courses you will be able to use on the Costa del Sol (also called the Costa del Golf!) The golf course in La Duquesa has been visited by golf lovers from all over the world who appreciate the course and its beautiful setting with views of the Mediterranean, North Africa and Gibraltar.

La Duquesa Golf is a 72-par course with 18 fun and entertaining holes. With an attractive location relatively high up in the landscape of La Duquesa, the golf course offers panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. In addition, there are also many facilities on site, including a restaurant and bar, clubhouse and more.

The golf course and associated facilities are to be upgraded, and Ambera will play an important role in further developing the area. Another advantage of the La Duquesa golf course is that the prices are not as high as for many of the courses on the Costa del Sol.

Designed by renowned golf architect Robert Trent Jones

La Duquesa Golf is one of the last courses on the Costa del Sol designed by world-renowned English-American golf course architect Robert Trent Jones. It opened in 1986 – many years after his earlier designs in Sotogrande (1964), Las Brisas (1968) and Valderrama (1975).

An exciting golf course to suit all levels

La Duquesa Golf is a very varied golf course and is therefore well suited to players of all levels – whether you are a beginner or a professional golfer. The course is divided into two different parts, where the first nine holes follow the English style, with long and narrow fairways and elevated greens requiring accuracy and skill in the game. The next nine holes are simpler: here the fairways are wider, so you get the opportunity to correct some of the mistakes made on the first nine holes. So don’t despair if things didn’t go according to plan in the beginning – you can still save the day!
